Getting Startup Cash

It has been a while since my last post. It has not been because I have lost focus though. Quite the contrary, I have been furiously researching ways to make money online. What I wanted to do was make some money myself using some of the methods that I have discovered, and then I could write about them first hand and make knowledgeable recommendations.

I also want to make some money before I put out any money. I know the quip is “you can’t make money without putting out some,” but I believe that there are ways to make enough money to fund my startup costs. Some of those costs will probably include a domain name for my business, a web hosting site, and web page construction. The first two together will not cost more than $60.00 per year. The last one may be my major expense although I have not researched this yet. For now, these are unnecessary expenses since I can do all I need to do using free blogs.

The first step for me was to open an Ebay account. I found this to be very easy even though understanding the elements of the site have taken me some time to figure out. If you want to make some money, the best way is to sell some of those items that have been sitting around your home. Instead of donating them, put them up for auction and see what others will pay for them. The first thing I sold was an old printer. I had a profit of about $12. No it’s not a lot, but I got rid of an item that was taking up space and started on the road to making money online.

Listing an item literally costs pennies that can be paid for out of your sale. If you are new to this internet stuff, there are plenty of resources online that can get you started. Type “google.com” in the address line of the browser, and then type “how to get started with selling on Ebay.” Avoid any sites that want you to pay. There is enough free information available for beginners that paying for it would not be wise. Go open your account and make some startup cash.
