Why I'm Doing This

I am like millions of Americans. I have more month at the end of my check than I have money. I am sick and tired of my situation. I thought living the American dream was the ultimate experience. No one told me that it came with such a high price tag. I own the nice home and drive the nice cars. Yet, somehow it has not been all it was billed to be.

Maybe you can identify with my plight. You too have grabbed your piece of the pie and are now wondering when the good life will begin. Perhaps you are making ends meet, but you know that if you have to skip one beat your whole financial world will come crashing in around you. You have all the toys, but you cannot enjoy them because you have to work so hard to keep them. This does not sound like a dream, it sounds like a nightmare.

As I said, I am tired of my situation, so I have decided to do something about it. If you like, you can go along with me as I discover how to develop income outside of my regular employment. Let me establish that I do not have lots of extra time to spend after my normal work day, so this endeavor will have to take no more than 15-20 hours per week. The way I figure it, this would be about how much time I could spend doing a part-time job. I have chosen not to take on a part-time job because of the known expense of transportation costs would diminish those earnings right off the top. Add to that the normal payroll deductions, and the average part-time jobs ends up bringing in peanuts.

My goal in this endeavor is to make an average of $250 per month. Certainly, that amount is not enough to make anyone rich, but it can pay a credit card bill, a car note, most utility bills, and at $4 per gallon, it will provide almost 63 gallons of gas. The average tank size is 10 gallons, so that's over 6 tanks of gas. That can relieve a lot of pressure off of the family budget.

I will be doing a lot of research to find things that will work for me. If you like what you see, then maybe you can do it yourself. Remember, this is a work in progress. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to submit them. In my next post, I will write about how I will go about this venture and what got me interested in making money online.
