Who Do You Know?

Someone has said that you are only 5 people removed from knowing someone famous. In a world where who you know is much more important than what you know, mastering the art of networking can put you in places that others only dream about.

What if you could get paid for your social networking savvy? That would be an even greater motivation for building relationships with people. Well, here is your chance to do just that. You can actually connect with people of like mind (or of different mind if you so desire) and get paid for doing it on a new social media called Yuwie.

Most social media is setup for the benefit of its sponsors. All the advertising dollars that are paid go exclusively to the site owners/sponsors even though most of the content is produced by people like you and me. In addition to the lack of revenue sharing, most sites restrict those who provide the content from being too aggressive with self promotion of products, business ideas, services, etc. Certainly creative participants can get around the restrictions, but if the members are supplying the content, why should they not also be allowed to promote the things that cause their motors to rev?

Well, break from the old mold and become part of the revolution in social media. Instead of providing content and page views for free, get paid for your creativity and commitment. With Yuwie the traffic that comes to your page(s) produces income for you. That's right! You are not selling anything, you are just doing what you do best--creating content that others like to view.

Take the time to check it out. You might get hooked not just because of revenue generation, but because of the community.

Instant Payment

As you develop streams of income, you need an account in which to deposit your money. Paypal is a great place to do this. Most online businesses use them. They are very convenient and fast. If you use them with GPT, you can get paid within 24 hours on some sites. It is a great feeling to see the money that you have earned completing offers show up in your Paypal account the day after you withdraw it.

Using Paypal allows you to do business online without having to give access to your personal bank accounts. It also enables you to dispute charges and/or payments easily, and provides a format for resolution.

GPT sites often have offers that require the use of a credit/debit card. These can be free trials or they may require a small shipping fee, but the credit given can be as much as $20. Once you have made money doing free offers, you can use some of that money to complete these offers. Having a Paypal account with a debit card makes taking advantage of these offers simple and secure.

If you don't have a Paypal account you can easily set one up. No deposit is necessary to open the account. Once you set it up, you should follow the instructions for getting your account verified. Although some sites will make payments to a non-verified account, most of them will not. Your account has to be open for a couple of months before you can get a debit card issued so you need to get the account open as soon as possible.

If you already have an account and do not have a debit card, sign up for one immediately. It will take about 2 weeks for you to actually get it in hand. I would not make any online purchases that require a credit card unless I had a Paypal debit card. This gives me maximum protection.

Paypal is a great resource. Use it to do business online so that you can take advantage of the protection and the convenience it offers.

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

A Little Nudge

Please excuse my rant. I hear volumes today about how bad our economy is and how so many people are hurting. I am sure this is true. But for several months I have been blogging about a way to make additional income (and I am not alone) and few are taking the advice. Maybe families are not hurting as bad as we are told, or people want someone to give them someone else's money because they are too lazy to get it for themselves.

I have heard one excuse after another about why no effort has been made to make this free money. Frankly, I agree with the sage that said, "An excuse is nothing but the skin of a reason packed with a lie." I am literally being paid daily. Is it mega cash? No! But I can buy gas, eat out, go to the movies--you know those little extra things that make life less stressful. I can do this because I have decided to take advantage of free money being offered by advertisers.

Most of us are immensely bothered by annoying advertisements that encroach upon every waking moment of our lives via television, billboards, popup ads, and any other vehicle possible. We are not asked whether we want to see these ads; they push them upon us against our will. Why not strike back. Instead of having your eyeballs violated without compensation, lease your eyes to those same advertisers. Why do for free what you can do for pay?

That's the beauty of GPT. You get paid to look at the advertisements you choose rather than the ones someone else wants you to see. Hey, there are some really cool things available too. It's not all about the Benjamins, but getting paid does make it even more worth while. Check out the sites featured here. I have worked with them all and have gotten paid from them all. Jump out of the nest and start flying. You'll be glad you did.

Taking the Plunge: My Own Webspace

In my last post, I spoke about wanting to have my own website. As with all I am doing on this journey, I have never done anything like this before. So I am going to need all the help I can get in order to get a website up and running. I have already done some research and discovered that there are a number of highly recommended web hosting sites that offer great support to the novice as well as extremely easy to use tools to aid in website development.

One that I am particularly fond of and have chosen to host my webpage is Global Domain International (GDI). As I researched different sites this one stood out because it is not only easy to setup, but it also offers the possibility of generating residual income. Since creating income streams is the purpose of this project, it only makes sense that I would use a site that would afford me that opportunity. The other sites I checked offered a large one time commission on referrals, but they also required a full year's payment in advance. With GDI, I can pay on a monthly basis and can cancel at any time.

GDI offers even more.  It is a fact that more and more people are accessing the internet not only in the US but all over the world. With the spread of this phenomenon there is a greater desire for personal webpages that function as blogs, photo displays, home business outlets, information resouces, or for any number of personal and/or busniness functions. GDI puts you on the cutting edge of this demand by helping you to market their product.

This certainly is not a get rich quick scheme, but GDI does provide all the resources you need to get started and to be successful. For me it is just gravy on my pork chop (if you don't do meat, see it as dressing on your salad). I need a web presence; GDI has services that fit my budget and method of payment. I want to build residual income streams; GDI has a proven business that complements my aspirations. I could not ask for a better situation.

I will continue to use the free resources provided by Squidoo and Blogger, but establishing my own webspace with my unique web address is important to my continued growth and success. And, since the money I am making from GPT is paying the bill, I can afford to take the plunge. I am excited about where this is going.

Check it out for yourself.

Let's Summarize

As I have scoured the internet for ways to make money, I have come across many ways to make money if you are willing to put out money in advance. Thus far, the only legitimate way I have found to make money without first having to put out money is Get Paid To (GPT).

I have maintained that I will not spend any money online other than money I have made online. Now that I have made over $200, I can begin to look at other income producing methods that have an initial cost but give a good return on my investment.

One particular avenue I want to pursue is establishing my own website. As I mentioned in a previous post, having my on website allows me the flexibility to have a webstore, a blog, or any other venture that might provide an income stream. Once I have launched my site, I can incorporate several passive income streams that have promise of long term residual income. I will begin discussing some of these in posts that are to come.

Looking back on the last 90 days, I have learned a lot. I am glad I decided to take this journey and I anticipate that with diligence and patience I will reach my initial goal of $250 per month from 5 income streams.

The Smell Of Success

Now this is the good stuff. Creating residual income streams is what I am all about. One of the best ways to do this is to get others excited and involved in your endeavor. In the world of GPT this is called referrals. In this sixth and final installment in Puzzle Pieces the topic will be referral pecentages.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) has been around for years. No matter what the product is in MLM, without recruits you are not going to make much money neither are you going to create a residual income. Certainly you can sell the product(s) over and over again to faithful customers but that is not the definition of residual income.

Residual income occurs when you do not actively participate in its generation, but you are paid a portion of what is earned or a percentage on what is earned. The key to this type of income is getting other people involved in such a way that they not only want to earn the income, but they also can see the big picture of what getting others involved will do.

How this relates to GPT sites is incredible. First, there are no products to sell, no complicated forms to fill out, and no inventories to maintain. There is no money needed to get started. Those two points alone are great selling features.

You can make a nice monthly income of $200-$300 by completing offers and never refer anyone. But if you get into the referral business that amount can easily double or triple. The reason for this is the referral commisions you make on the offers your referrals complete.

There are GPT sites that pay up to a 30% commission on the earnings of first level referrals and up to 20% referrals on second level referrals. It does not take many first and second level referrals earning $200-$300 per month to create a substantial residual income. If you have 5 first level referrals earning $300 per month and they each have 5 first level referrals earning $300 per month, your income from referrals would be $1950 per month.

Not all sites pay 30% commissions, but many of them pay 20%. You do the math. The best part about it is that it does not cost any money to get started. There are no sign up fees of any kind. You give the site accurate information about yourself and then you get started making money and bringing in referrals. How can you go wrong?

I am more than willing to help anyone who clicks the links on my pages and signs up as my referrals. I will provide as much support via email as I can. Once you sign up through my links, come back to this blog and post a comment that you have signed up. Leave your email address and I will make contact with you.

Look, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. If you read my posts and follow the instructions that I have given, you will make money. Once you have cash in pocket, your friends and neighbors will smell your success and beg you to tell them your secret. What are you waiting for?

Tortoise vs. Hare GPT

There is always great wisdom in using caution in what ever endeavor one may be participating. That the tortoise beats the hare is a well known adage in Western culture. But there are situations in which speed supersedes being deliberate. Such is the case when completing offers on GPT sites.

Site Response is the fifth installment in the series called The Puzzle Pieces. This issue has to do with the usability of GPT sites. If a site is hard to use or has multiple steps to access offers, the time spent completing offers will be increased. My objective is to spend as little time as possible completing as many offers as possible. I have a reasonable plan for making money with GPT that my readers should check out.

There are several steps that should be taken when completing offers and if the site is not setup to facilitate these steps, doing offers takes longer. An example of this is the good practice of clearing the cookie and temporary internet files after completing each offer. I have been logged off of some sites every time I use Ccleaner. This is very inconvenient! Not only does it cost me time, but there have been times that I was unable to find the offer that I had just completed.

Another irritating feature of some sites is the need to weed through niche specific offers that show up on every page. What this means is that you have to page through numerous offers that have a small demographic in order to get to those that pertain to the wider populous. This is a time waster.

The ideal site has a simple interface with everything only a click away. It is setup to utilize the techniques that it suggests for completing and confirming the maximum amount of offers (such as the use of Ccleaner). And it does not require you to page through numerous niche specific (usually health related) offers that have a small application.

I am not suggesting that you avoid sites like these. Just be aware that you will spend more time completing offers there than on other sites.

Time Is Money

At what point does completing GPT offers become a waste of time? Well, it's a no brainer that if you are not making any money, then you are wasting your time. What if you are making money but you are having a problem reaching the minimum payout? It then becomes an issue of looking at the confirmation rate. Confirmation rate is the fourth installment in the series from The Puzzle Pieces post.

One of the things I look at when I am working with a GPT site is how many offers confirm in ralationship to how many offers I have completed. I am willing to accept that some offers will not confirm no matter what. This may be because the advertiser is not honest or because I have failed to complete all the requirements for the offer. But, if I am seeing a high percentage of my completed offers not being confirmed, I will begin to question the integrity of site .

I have been completing offers intensively for over two months and I know what information to provide on most types of them. So, I am looking to confirm between 80-90% of offers I complete. On one site, I have a 100% confirmation rate. (Check out 100% Crediting of Offers on this link.)

Unless you spend a lot of time learning how to complete offers and then spend the time actually doing the work, your confirmation rate will not be as high as mine. I suggest that somewhere between 60-70% is good if you are doing a few offers a day.

Becoming more proficient and efficient requires more time. I found that spending the time early on has paid off with higher confirmation rates and less time spent completing offers. I can complete 4 offers in 10 minutes on a site that has good site response. The more I do, the better I get. I still believe in the old saying that "Time Is Money." Spend the time wisely so you can make the money quickly!

The Crediting Twilight Zone

In this third installment of issues with GPT, I will address the confirmation rate. This relates to the length of time it takes offers to be confirmed or denied after they have been completed. This is one of those thorny issues since the two parties both have to do their parts in order for payment to be made.

Why does it take one site days to credit an offer and another site minutes or a few hours? I will not speculate on the answer because I do not know enough about the business to be balanced. I will say that there are elements of offer crediting that those of us who do the offers need to make sure we have in place before we look suspect at the site. See Why Offers Don't Confirm and Quick Start Guide.

The sites that have been the quickest for me are CashCrate, ShellCash, DealsBarbiePaysFast, Cashlagoon, and GreedyClicks. Others have done a good job as well, but these are at the top of my list. I have done offers on Cashlagoon that have credited before I returned to the Offer page. Cashcrate has historically credited offers in 2 hours or less but will sometimes take as long as 24 hours. I am cool with these timeframes, but I get jittery when an offer has not credited after 48 hours.

I am still waiting for some offers that I have done to confirm. One site I frequent has this on some of its offers, "Please allow one week for crediting, usually credits immediately." Then there is the site that says, "Do not contact our affiliates because all crediting is done by the site." Yet in another place it says, "When our partners have determined that you have fulfilled their requirements, we will credit your account." Enter the "Crediting Twilight Zone."

The best I can say to you is to be patient. Set a comfortable timeframe for yourself and if the offers have not credited by then, redo them. Most sites allow you to do offers over, but be aware that some do not. In all cases, remember that you will win more than you lose if you keep on completing offers.

Payday Someday!

The whole purpose of doing GPT offers (whether they are free or not) is to make money. Even if you trade your money in for points, prizes, or referrals you are seeking value for your time. In my case, I am strictly after the Benjamins. I don't mind giving up my time if I can see some relatively immediate results.

In this post I am discussing the second issue from the post entitled Puzzle Pieces. This is the issue of Payout Periods. I have found this to be one of the draw backs to some of the better sites because the payout can be as long as 50 days from when you confirm your first offer assuming you begin on the first of the month. Not being of the patient nature, that is a long time for me.

As I said earlier, I like immediate results. I am not just talking about seeing that my offers have confirmed and reaching the Minimum Payout. I am talking about actually getting money in my hand or in my paypal account. Once this has happened I can relax and not worry whether the site is legit or not. I can also use the money to make more money on the sites I use.

I am not advocating avoiding sites like Cash Crate, Squishy Cash, or Shell Cash which have the longer payout periods. These are great sites to use because they have good payment track records and lots of easy to confirm offers. What I will suggest is that you use some of the quick pay sites (i.e., sites that will payout within 24-48 hours) so that you can get some immediate return on your investment.

I use a mixture of the two types so that I am daily putting small amounts of money in my paypal account while waiting for the larger checks/payouts from the other sites. This small cash is accessible through my paypal debit card and can be used for offers that require credit/debit card info and/or some small payment to gain a larger credit. Don't miss this point because it can make you a lot of money when you cashout Cash Crate, etc.

Check out A New Twist for some sites that pay quickly. You'll be glad you did.
